Default Jeep Wont Start

I have an 08 wrangler unlimited x package that i put rubicon axles under. i was out tonight doing a little mudding and jeep died in mudhole. will not crank at all. got it pulled back home, pulled spark plugs out and there was water in the cylinders. no water in oil. the motor is locked solid. do you think warranty will cover this i mean it only has 12k miles on it. if it was never intended for off road use they shouldnt have put trail rated emblems on it and give lifetime warranty. i know they cant void warranty due to changing axles because they have to prove that the mod performed caused the failed part to fail. and the axles have nothing to do with the motor not cranking. i tried with trans case in neutral and everything, as i was getting pulled even tried jumping it off and it wouldnt do anything. HELP

Nope. You're gonna be SOL with warranty.

this wouldnt suck near as bad but i just ordered 2600 bucks worth of wheels/tires and lift for it that should be here in a day or 2. im almost 100% sure i heard something break when it died but it did turn over once after it happened. maybe if i let it set a day or so with plugs out it might dry out and turn over and ill run it till it quits. i guess if nothing else wednseday itll be goin back to jeep and ill say the damn thing just died on me

noone ever wants to hear a worst case scenario...but, you've already pulled the plugs to discover you had water in the cylinders...sounds like you hydrolocked it and will require a complete rebuild...maybe new rods, maybe new pistons, valves....doubt dealer will warranty this....you running a CAI on this?

well for the amount your gonna lose on trade in value, why not just rebuild the engine...it'll probably be cheaper
but if your hell bent on getting rid of it because you hydrolocked it than I suppose you must do what you will...but why don't you google f150 and hydrolock and see what pops up

Another member had his hydrolocked JK covered under his general vehicle insurance. It certainly will not be touched under warranty issues. Contact your insurance for some advice.

drain the oil and as much water as possible. put in used oil from another car.

try and make it seem like it was never a water problem and let them figure it out.

push the idea that it just seized...dont tell them you were in the mud.

I think you got a shot and pulling this off.
