Default Jeep wont start on occasion

On two occasions I tried to start my jeep and the power would come on but would not turn over. I had to pull the negative battery terminal off and I believe it reset something. It started right up. Has this happened to anyone?

yup on my way to moab, then it was fine most of the week and started acting up on the way home.. I did the same thing and got the jeep to start.

it then wouldnt start at all. So I had to bump start it.. So I drove it straight home 1,900 miles... Long story short.

It was the wireless control module going bad. The dealer replaced it under warranty. I'm not sure if this is your issue or not.

If it happens again and doesnt start, pull the big white fuse in the fuse box under the hood and start the jeep, the put it back in. Its the way around the security system. Atleast thats the dealer told me to do.

it happened to me 2 times so far , once i know i left my door open i garage , the other time may have left my lights on, but not really sure , both times i went to boost with no success, but after u hookng battery then hook in back up it started no problem. my guess is its a sensor that after a while of battery drain it shuts down and has to be reset

I did not have any battery drain. I was driving it.... pulled into a parking lot.... ran into the store.... 3 minutes later it wouldnt start. Plenty of juice, it just wouldnt engage the starter.

I drive a 2008 jkux automatic. It has a dealer installed remote starter and flashpaq tuner. I tried the remote starter which didnt work either.

My buddy that owns a autobody shop says they have nothing but trouble with factory remote starters. I would take it in and go from there. pulling the battery cable does reset the alarm as well...

My Jeep does this all the f'n time. I put it in nuetral and most of the time it starts but not always??? I have heard some guys saying to disconnect the auto sway bar? This problem started only after I installed a Optima Yellow Top but I don't think it is really related. I now run a BenchMark dual set up and I know other customers of his have reported the same problem and he changed the switch wiring to the 12v outlet so dealer could isolate the problem easier. It acts like a loose ground or bad starter. All power but just a click no crank. Had it at the dealer for about three weeks. They replaced the starter and could not duplicate it after that but it still happens often.

I've had it happen a couple times on my 07 with auto trans. Pushing forward on the gear selector usually works or putting the Jeep in nutral. In my case it seems to be a nutral safety switch issue.
