Default JK axle question...

Ok, this is weird or lucky.... I have an 07 Sahara with the 6-speed manual transmission, didn't get the tow package I triple checked the window sticker. I ordered a set of differential covers for a Dana 30 front and a Dana 35 rear, I learned that here..... Well, then I get the covers and the front fits fine. The rear doesn't match at all!!! So I call the guy at Quadratec, and he tells me that it is probably because it is a Dana 44. So I Googled Dana 44 picture and SUPRISE, it looks exactly like my rear axle. So did I get lucky or what the hell? So what gears do I have??? It is a dog on hills with 33's!

It looks exactly like the one above! So anyone know if they put 44's with 3.21's or if they all have 4.10's?

Yes thats a Dana 44 you have in the rear. I would guess you have 3.21's. When my Unlimited Rubi had 4.10's and 35's it performed OK. Check your RPM's when you are going 65? Do you have GPS to correct for the speedometer error of the larger tires if you did not get the computer flashed to correct for the tire size.

3.21's at 65 with 33's your RPM's will be approximately 1785
4.10's at 65 with 33's your RPM's will be approximately 2280

Lets us know what you find out.

You should have a tag on the bolts like in the picture, it looks like the one pictured is a 4.10.
