I'm just saying, if you read up on all the symptoms, the alternator ground has fixed many. It made a believer out of me when mine started doing it. It took me a few min to fix, and I have not had an issue since. I would, and did think it made more sense to try a simple ground wire to the alternator before I began diagnosing and replacing parts. Lots have fixed issues by doing this mod.

 

My 2011 does that some times and for whatever reason if I push in on my kill switch chip under the steering wheel the jeep starts right up.

 

My 08" had this issue and I also agree with most that it is most likely to be the neutral safety switch. Mines been doing it awhile too and like others have said. I simple give it a giggle or shift down and back up and it starts.
