jk upper door sliders
i have a 2010 jk unlimited with half doors and i am waiting to hear when the upper door sliders are going to be available ? i am here in az and with no way to tint the front soft windows i am dying to get these since i found it impossible to buy the full metal doors.
I havent seen any yet.. I have the soft doors for summer and the metals for winter.. and would love to have an upper slider for those days when I want the windows closed...
unlike the TJ's there are VERY few JK's sold with half doors so there isnt a huge market for upper sliders.... aftermarket companies usually need a large number of possible customers before they will make a part..
Looking at the slider for a TJ.. im wondering if you could take the sliding window out of one of those and outfit it into a set of standard bestop uppers.. they have quite a bit of metal in them... and then cover it with canvas to look good...
would at least get you front sliders anyway....
also might be expensive unless you can get bestop to sell you just the window part of a TJ upper slider...
that window is modular.. i had one apart in my TJ upper sliders.. a bit of a pain but did come apart... (and go back together)
couldnt hurt to write bestop and see if they could fashion you up something maybe?

I actually found these on the web a couple of months ago. They're made by Rampage. However..... they're non-existant! I called the two Dealers below, and apparently, Rampage designed these, but never actually fabricated them. They never left the Prototype Table.
Still looking... still looking...

I can't wait for the upper sliders. I went through the trouble and found full metal doors for my 4 door and keep the half doors for the summer hoping they make these. I'm glad bestop finally got the ball rolling.

I would if i didn't ive in an apartment complex w/ no garage.
