JK warranty
My 2008 JK X has an engine CEL. I'm in process of getting the main engine harness replaced. Finding the harness took over 2 months. I am the original owner and I have the lifetime warranty and purchased the extended warranty when new, which was supposed to cover wiring harnesses. But the dealership determined it's a corrosion issue, which negates the warranty. I'd like to contact FCA, but above regular customer care, who has been involved with a case number etc. . I just don't understand how wiring in exposed areas can be subject to corrosion and aren't sealed to prevent road salt, water etc from destroying the wires. I've approached a few shops, but they don't want to tackle the job. I'm not looking for wiring advice, but for an escalation process/contact at FCA. Thanks, Mike
I had to use FCA customer care years ago for a radiator failure just after warranty. It was a PITA, I ended-up buying the radiator myself, but FCA did reimburse me in the end. Make the initial contact, keep records of all calls and hope for the best.
Good luck with it.
Good luck with it.
