Default JK Wrangler Battery 24F-1 Fits 2010 Jeep

Just an FYI... alternative Group 24F-1 Battery fits perfectly in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler JK with stock wiring, terminals, tray and hold downs.

Been using the toss-away EverStart Value line batteries for years now without issue, so when our Wrangler needed a battery I looked for a cheap Group 34. No dice at Wally World, so I started inspecting what they had compared to the stock battery and the always available (Ford) group 24F-1 fit the bill. It's just about an inch longer & higher than the stock battery but easily clears the underside of the hood and fits in the tray. There is full clamping force on the base of it also. You may have to swap the direction of the stock wires on top but my jeep had plenty of slack to do so if needed. This Group 24F-1 battery size would probably fit any Wrangler JK 2007-2012 or up to when they changed the battery tray design.

The best part is the Wally World "NeverStart" Value Line batteries are only $48 (with the core exchange) out the door. So what if they only have a year warranty, for the price of one premium battery, I can literally buy 5 of these. I typically get three or four years out of 'em. Really adds up the savings with two twin battery Diesel trucks like I also have in the stable. If I'm not mistaken, other big auto part retailers have gotten into the value line batteries that I believe are the same basic batteries internally as all the rest, but with a reduced warranty period.

Good find and good to note. Savings for a lot of members here means they can use that money for something else they need. Or just go wheeling more often. I use Costco batteries but they are still way more than that.
