JKUR can bus issue/stuck in alarm mode/pcm's missing from scan
2014 JKUR issue has us all stumped ! I walked out to the jeep one morning and it didnt open the door /recognize the key fob, opened door with key and alarm goes off, zero start or start attempt and all lights on dash/alarm stuck on. Key is fine, fob and key chip are working /transmitting. I cannot use my JSCAN as the obd cannot supply the vin/cant read anything. I had mechanic friends bring out a snap on scanner from their shop and we manually put in the vin. We cannot see any of the pcm's on the can c side !!! Everything is working on the can-ihs side such as radio/hvac/amp/hfm and so on. Zero communication with the pcm/tpm/tcm/abs/wcm and so on. All wires look perfect, tipm looks perfect, no blown fuses. You can hear the relays and the throttle body when turning key to start. Its in lockdown /alarm mode. All connections and connects/pins look great. It all "died/started havening the issue" while it was parked overnight. I took a friends 2017 Sahara tipm and put it in mine. The alarm mode went away ! but no start and as soon as the key is turned to start all dash lights come right back on flashing.. Jscan still cant read the obd/vin. I had a locksmith and former mechanic bring the mopar dealer laptop and mopar obd reader out and he had the same issue. Cant read the same pcm's and can bus code. He confirmed the wcm/key chip/key fob all work so it doesnt seem like a sentry key security issue. We cant run any tests as it wont read the pcm or get the vin. I have had a few people tell me to starter checking for resistance on the wires from the tipm to the pcm. I have no idea how to start doing this this as i don't have a wiring diagram and all the wires all look different, lol I guess it could be a broken wire , weird that it happened while parked and off overnight. My local dealership wont work on it because its 10 yrs old !
Any ideas where are what i can check or test ? Anyone run into this before ? Pulling fuses and touching battery terminals together doesnt reset anything.
Ive searched for hours online and cant dind anything that would help mu issue !
