Just a reminder that anyone with the lifetime powertrain warranty needs have their jeep inspected before the 5 year mark...

I paid $2460.00 on Monday for 3 years oil changes and a "life time" warranty. I have 30 days to cancel.

Is it a foolish waste of money or???

Can't you cancel and get a partial refund and then do whatever you want to your jeep??

My 08 Rubicon was purchased 8.31.07, so inspection is due. I got a reminder card from Jeep to have it done. Taking it to Jasper, Ga. Jeep Tuesday.

I have reminders written in a few places. My 08 X was purchased in December of 08 so I need to bring it in Dec of 2013. I believe there is a 2 week window to get it done. I also bought the additional warranty when I purchased. It covers many more items including ball joints. Has anyone had their 5 year yet? If so was it big$$$$ and many things found to be needed to continue the Lifetime Warranty??? How long is the next timeframe before another inspection is due?

The manual says within 60 days of the 5 year anniversary of the in-service date of the vehicle. The inspection is no charge. I believe the reason for the inspection is preventative on their part to catch any warranted part early on if it needs to be replaced, so no costs to you for covered parts and labor.
