Default Know how to replace inner shift boot?

Anyone know how to replace the inner shift boot? Not the shift boot that you can see from the interior, but the one underneath that? It looks like it might pry right off (with a little work). I discovered that it's creating a whining noise in 2nd/4th/6th for me and when I tried stuffing some duct tape in there - it fixed the whining noise but the duct tape doesn't stick really well so it keeps coming off. I ordered the $30 inner shift boot from the dealership and it comes in Tuesday. Just curious if anyone else has replaced there and if it's easy or hard or requires anything special.

Any thoughts or comments are welcome!!
