Larger tire size on stock rim?

Default Larger tire size on stock rim?
Does anyone know if the stock Rubicon rim will fit a 285x70x17 on 2" lift without the need of any backspacing?

At the bottom of this page a guy is running 285-65-18 on stock suspension.

Sure it will fit but you will have some rubbing on the trail.

I have 285/70/17 on the stock rims and have no problem with them rubbing and if they do its only at full turn.
