leak help

Default leak help

Changed the oil today and got the filter as tight as I can by hand and it has a vary vary slow leak it went on like butter and I oiled the ring and all I just don't get it

Check your old filter to be sure you didn't leave the old oring on. If you have two orings then once you build oil pressure it will leak.

I looked if over all looks well no leaks but looks like one was starting thks was an hour after I noticed and no drips we will see what happens in the.am

It dripped once all night I got it as tight as I can go do I maybe have it to tight or what Idk

i'm always paranoid about this after changing my oil! i make sure to wipe off every bit of excess oil from the engine block before screwing on the new filter - maybe you had some residual old oil that dripped down...

See I'm the same way its my first oil change on the jeep ( iv done them on past cars) but I'm all cautious that I might tighten something to tight or something stupid like that I dove the jeep around and got home and no leak so I think I'm good
