This is leaking green. Is this common? Should I replace a gasket? Just tighten the bolts? Thanks in advance for advice.

IMO.. Replace the Gasket.. Check both for Warping, What is the mileage on your rig? Consider a new thermostat too; along with recommendation for Coolant Change due to age / mileage..

That certainly looks like a leak there at the housing gasket. Do you no longer have the Mopar HOAT coolant in there? That is the only thing that doesn't really add up to me is why is it green.....unless you have changed to a different coolant. Maybe dirt is just discoloring it? I'm not sure on the 3.8L if your thermostat is part of the housing with the gasket or not, but I'd replace it. Even if it's all one thermostat/housing unit it's cheap.

This is the coolant. Looks like I might have been mistaken about it being green, as now it’s dried it looks pink.

Did you ever flush that system and refill with OAT coolant, cuz that is OAT coolant and your '08 had HOAT in it from the factory. Mixing those two coolants has always been a big no-no that resulted in gelling that would clog up the system. Saw your listing for this jeep yesterday so know you're at the end of your ownership of it. I'd probably replace that thermostat and housing and clean it up and maybe just consider yourself lucky till not if you've only topped off with that coolant and never had any real issues.

So this isn’t the right stuff? That stinks because this is what came up on the internet when I typed in the specifics of my Jeep.
I haven’t had trouble except for burning out the radiator fan in mud that was too deep, and I replaced that recently.

No, '07-'12 used HOAT coolant that was 5yr/100k mile, part 68048953AB for the concentrate or 68051212AC for the pre-mixed.

So, it goes in pink. Sometimes it looks green. Sometimes it looks green and pink at the same time. More internetting tells me HOAT is purple and OAT is orange. I believe the system was flushed at least once, and at a dealership. But there seems to be a lack of confidence that the dealership would use the right product.
I really haven’t had troubles except for the above mentioned fan motor burnout (after some heavy mud driving), and then this recently noticed leak.

This is the picture I've always seen around -

The OAT has a purple "additive" so it looks different in some situations. If I open my radiator cap and look in it appears a dirty orange color, but suck some of it out and put it in a clear container and it will look purple.

I wouldn't stress too much about this unless you were keeping that jeep for the longer term, which it appears you are not.
