Default leaking hardtop back window

Anyone had issues with the rear window leaking on a 2 door hardtop? It only leaks in really hard rain. It seems to leak right near the wiper motor. At first I thought maybe the wires or tubing for the washer fluid were caught in the rubber weather stripping, but those were fine. Any ideas?

I have a similar thing except I never notice the water until a day or two after a rain/snowstorm... I never actually see water coming in during a storm.

I think what happens in my case is if I open the tailgate the rear window pops out just a bit so some residual water from the top seal gets onto/into the rear wiper housing. Eventually tracks down the inside of the rear window.

My old TJ used to do the same thing.

Sounds like your seal might be a smidge short of making full contact with the window.

That sounds like it. The water looks like it is leaking out of the box that houses the wiper motor. I though it was just a coincidence that the leak was right around there. I have an oil change coming up soon so I will have the stealership check it out. Thanks.

My 4 dr leaked and they replaced the seal for me. After about a year it's starting to leak again.
