I prefer cloth to leather for the Jeep. It's open top, and man does leather burn your hide in the sun! Leather looks like crap after a few years, too, if it spends a lot of time in the sun and rain. I figure when my seats get old I'll use the money I saved on leather and replace them with some kind of suspension seat perhaps.

I got cloth in my 2012 JKU. When I ordered it I was thinking, "It's a Jeep not a Lexus LX-470!" Although I think leather would have been easier to clean (my two dogs' hair and saliva), I think it is too hot down here for leather. No regrets at this point... 300 miles.

Is that a cleaner or a conditioner? Just wondering if it softens the leather or more protects it. I have the saddle leather and it's very hard.

I had leather in my 2010. With dogs, camping, wheel'n, etc. the leather was so easy to wife off when you clean it up. My 2012 has clothe and I can;t wait to get my Katzkin interior put in. You will want covers for Summer time though with the top off. those seats get "burn teh skin off your a$$" hot in dirrect sunlight.

Leather cleans up easy, especially with my 2 siberian huskies shedding on the seats all the time. It can get hot in the summer but its not too bad...I wouldn't want black leather though.

I actually like the feel of cloth better but leather is just so much easier to clean. I also think the new cloth seats are ugly.
