Default Leather seats in my 2012 altitude 4dr

Hey everyone just wondering on opinions and experience. I had an beater jeep years ago I loved so I just bought the 2012 jk unlimited altitude. Not exactly rugged but comfy and special to me. As I play with my freedom top I'm starting to worry about leather exposed to the sun and elements. So I found the armor trek seat covers. Anyone put these on over leather before? I wanna maintain the leather in good condition but wanna enjoy my jeep without worry. I just turned 1,000 miles yesterday and am loving this jeep. The military in me and OCD wants to keep it as clean as possible I don't mind playing of course otherwise I would have bought something else. Thanks all.

I don't think there will be any issues with the leather seats, the backing of the covers is some sort of foam and they should stay on and protect your seats well. You can call Mitch at trek armor and they will send you a sample of the material in whatever color you request. I just ordered my seats after I saw the sample!

Yeah, my jeep has the katzkin leather, I put smitty seat covers over them this summer to protect them from my dogs...leather also gets really freaking hot in.the summer! But the wife requested the front covers come off for the winter so the seat heaters can work

Those look great!! I was worried they would bunch up and look horrible. DO you need to take the covers off if you have heated seats? wouldnt it transfer through? I gues you would loose a little heat though. I just clicked over 1,000 on mine this weekend. Im debating on holding off a while if you have to or should remove the covers for winter time to utilize the heated seat feature. Also wanted a soft top, but I guess that will wait for next spring/summer.

Yeah you do lose some heat from the heated seat feature. I will be taking off the front two for the winter, but leaving the rear one on

Just installed our trek armor seat covers, over cloth seats but they should do well over leather also!
