Default license plate removal help, PIC included

so i got this far, but don't have a clue how to get those two silver tabs off so i can put my plug in. any help would be great!

your pic is not working for me.....but removing the whole unit is just of screws if i remember correctly. i fooled with it when installing the cool tech anttenae mount.

thought about doin that. that was actually the only way i could figure getting them out. don't really want to damge anything tho, would it doing this method?

remove the tail light above it - 2 screws on right, don't remove the left ones. unhook from the harness and stick your hand in there. pinch the clips from the inside and push outward.

ok, i'll try removing the tail light tomorrow and see if i can make that work. Thanx! i thought about that too, but when i took it off to put on my fuel filler door, i didn't remember there being a lot of room

Removing the tail light will work great. That's how I was able to access and remove one of the clips when I installed my CoolTech CB antenna mount.

did it tonight, in the dark and rain no less. thank you guys for the input! it worked liked a charm, as you said it would.
took off tail light
used pliers to squeeze from inside opening
gently wiggled and pulled from outside with fingers
EASY!
