Default Lift Gate Shocks

Has anyone else just had awful luck with the small shocks that lift the back glass? My stock ones went out after about two years and 6 months later the aftermarket ones went out!!!!! WTF??

This one doesn't show any warranty but autozone carries many with lifetime warranty. perhaps you could fine one ot fit? If i can ever find any part that has lifetime I always make sure to swap it out even if its not broken.
The last ones I bought were from autozone. Unfortunately I have no receipt. So I figure they will say screw off haha

They usually register your warranty under your phone number. Go in and give it a shot--worst case scenario you buy one that has a warranty and register it with your phone #.

Not to steal your thunder, but this is what i thought the thread was going to be about, and coincidentally, something that bugs the crap out of me..:

anyone install a shock on the tail gate itself. It never stays open unless your on the correct side of the incline and threads about this?

Yes, "Dominion" makes one. I ordered it through Jeep Swag. I personally checked out different designs and I believe this is the strongest one. 1/4 inch aluminum reinforcement plate comes with it that mounts under the plastic cover on the tail gate.

I thought about one of these but I wouldn't know what to do if my tail gate wasn't beating me down while I was getting stuff out of the back of my Jeep.
