Default Lift kit advice

I'm looking to do a lift on my 2014 oscar mike edition JK. I want to do the lift myself. ( actually along side my hubby and uncle) so I'm looking to do a 3 inch lift . Completely bolt on . Any recommendation on which lift is easy to do as well as dependable. This jeep won't be doing extreme rock crawling just yet . Still rockin the awesome new car smell. But love taking it locally off roading and getting it dirty. However it definitely needs to be lifted some.

Teraflex. The 2.5" budget boost and coil lift actually is ~3". With lift though, you need exhaust extensions or new driveshaft.

Do a google search. Literally hundreds of topics discussing this already.

That being said, I'd also go with Teraflex.

I have searched and there's so many to choose from ... I was drawn to the Tera flex lift kits so having them encouraged is good to hear . Do u know if the parts can be painted? I'm thinking of trying something fancy.

Just be careful. Lots of the lifts give a 2 door more than the advertised lift. I understand that above 3 inches you can run into a lot of trouble on 2012 and newer. Check the stickies at the top of the forum, too.

Another vote for the Teraflex 2.5in coil lift. Got mine with the Bilstein shocks.

Just installed one myself on my JKU and it was relatively easy. Worst part was taking the front shocks out. Everything else was smooth. It took me 10 hours but I was alone and I spent time triple-checking everything.

Their Youtube video is quite clear to understand also.

It lifted my JKU approx 3in and I also installed longer front arms to compensate. My Jeep handles quite well on highways and trails.

Dont know if it matters to you but Teraflex is made in China. I would look at rancho, synergy, rock krawler, currie, full traction or metal cloak.

Congrats on the new JK! How many miles on your Jeep so far? Try it out off road first, put a few thousand on, it might do better than you think!

Have you thought about extra components like?
-Driveshafts
-Wheels
-Tires
-Tuners
-Under body protection
-Reinforcements

Jeeps are amazing vehicles in simple stock form. Join a club, drive a few lifted Jeeps with different brand components. Research research research!!!! There are hundreds of threads on here with thousands of opinions. Take your time, don't rush and regret your lift purchase! Pick a budget then stick to it. Good luck!
