Default Lift kit advice needed for newbie

Has anyone used this lift on a 2012 JKU? I'd like to run 33x12.5 BFG KM2's.

You are going to get mixed reviews on this lift. I had a rough country lift on my previous jeep. It was alright, ride was a little stiff I ended up swapping it out for a Rubicon Express which I thought gave it a better ride and flex offroad, this was on a TJ. I am not sure how this particular lift handles on the Jk. The way I look at it is yes it will lift your jeep and you could even run 35s and it should work well off road but if you have the cash I would recommend getting a lift that uses extended brake lines and adjustable control arms. I am sure someone with this lift will chime in and give you some first hand knowledge. Good luck.

Thanks for the input, it's appreciated! JK is a DD and being on Long Island it will probably never see dirt. I would like it to ride nice and look tough. I have read alot of threads on here about lifts - JK has 3.21 gears, so more than 33's is prob not a good idea, which is ok.

If it may never see off road, maybe consider a spacer lift such as the teraflex budget boost. It will keep your stock coils ( and with shock extensions ) keep your stock shocks so the ride will feel the same.

Another newbie question: thinking about a lift for my 2012 Rubicon because I am getting 35" tires. May be a dumb question, but if I go for a full 4" lift will I be downgrading the stock equipment that I paid for in the Rubicon? I was thinking of just going with a 2.5" spacer lift, but really want to go for the 4" and understand that a lot more equipment will be replaced.

Depending on the lift you choose and whether you have a 2 or 4 door you'll likely need a front DS and front lower control arms. Not sure what else you'll be replacing (other than the coils and shocks) that you paid for in the Rubicon.

If your not going larger then 33's, look at the teraflex leveling kits. You can get this kit in two forms(spacers or new coils). I had the spacer kit before going to 35's and it was a great kit for the money!

I have been looking at the TeraFlex spacer kit for my JK as well. I too am planning to run 33's and want to get the front end up just a little higher.

On a different note, how do you like your 35 inch pro comps? Which ones are you running?

I just did an aev 3.5" dualsport lift and i love it. Its a dd and family car. Looks and rides great. Its not the greatest lift for extreme wheelin but its suits my needs. I bought the procal module also. Put 35x12.50-18 km2's on it.

I had a teraflex 2.5BB on my previous JK WITH 33cooper STT's. in my opinion it was perfect, not to big for the 33's, but clearly lifted and drove exactly as stock. Just a note though, I had a rough country on before the teraflex and swapped it out as it was too stiff and rode horrible
