Default Limited slip differential in reverse

i have a 2007 JK unlimited auto with LSD. I have notice when i got stuck on ice, the Limited slip seamed like it did not want to work in reverse. When i put the tranny back in foward gear, No problem, it moved. The question is, does the LSD work in reverse , or is it a foward drive only.

I don't have one, but I'll bet it's a clutch pack differential. It should work either way the same.

Maybe someone else has better info?

The trac lock is a clutch type unit. A piss poor one at that, BUT it should work both ways.

Should work both ways, although I agree it's slow to engage foward or in revearse, tramp it more and you'll see it'll shift to the two wheels eventualy, think thicker gear oil may be needed.
I'm assuming this becuase I got 90/140 gear oil with the LSD addative in my car and it locks up in a hurry unlike the Jeep, then again it is also has a 40% lock up...
Havn't a clue what the percentage is for Jeep's LSD.
