Default Locker Diagnosis

Recently the Front locker in my 2008 does not lock up. Is there a write up for a step by step diagnosis for this. Is it just the sensor, is it the actuator, or the whole locker. I would like to be able to diagnosis it before tearing it apart. This way i can order parts for it. Any where from a 1 to 4 week lead time on parts right now in my area.

The easiest way to verify if it's working or not is to bypass all the rubi wiring and safeguards. Unplug the power wiring harness and run 12v right to the 2 pins with some wire, alligator clips and paper clips....or whatever you want to rig up to touch the 2 pins. You'll hear the actuator ring snap over if it's working. If it's not locking, it's likey the actuator. Replacing that would be a bit of a pain as it requires pulling the carrier bearing to then pull the actuator.
