The full time lockers are not recommended for street. Problems driving on slick pavement and turning. I was going to try the Aussie until I read the info on their site.
An Aussie up front will not cause any issues on the street unless you're in 4wd. Now, if you're using 4Hi (or Lo) in snow, then that's where you'll run into the issues above. Just wanted to clear that up 'cause people who live in warmer climates might think they'll have issues with an Aussie on the street, but that's just not true.

Both ARB and OX have selectable lockers available for the D30. As far as axle strength goes, much of that also depends on your final wheel/tire size. If you're worried about it throw in some Superior shafts. This topic has been kicked around a lot here and there are some very convincing arguments in favor of keeping the D30 and just beefing it up.
