Default looking for an aggressive tread

Hello all,

This is my first post on this forum, please be gentle.

I am looking to replace the 255-70-18s on my stock JK with something pretty arrgressive. Most of my driving is short highway, but I need something for offroad treks in the woods with occasional mud (not mud bogs). My jeep dealer thought I could get by with toyo open country MTs (275-70-18). What do you think of the tire, its size for my jeep and the tread for my applications?

Regards,
Dave

Toyo MT's are an awesome tire! The are quiet, agresssive, well made, and they last for a really long time. What size is that anyways? If it's like a 33" tire, then it'll work out pretty good for you I think.

Don't forget the MTZs. I have them and they are awesome. Quiet on the road and capable offroad.

Toyos are awesome, Im running the toyos 295/70r17 and I don't have a single complaint, I ran these stock with 4.7 backspacing and didn't have problems with that setup, I only ran that way for a couple weeks till I lifted

I agree with the Toyo 33's . My father is running them on his JK at the moment . I will likely be doing the same once Uncle Sam sends my check.

I've got Hankook Dynapro MT's and think they're great. They're really good on-road. Not too loud or rough. They're fantastic off-road and in mud. The tread's aggressive and the sidewalls are aggressive, too. They're not very expensive compared to other tires and I like that they're non-directional. When it comes time to replace them I think I'll just get a bigger size. These ones are stock size because I bought them before I planned on lifting. Now I'm lifted and want 33's.

I'm kinda biased but look into the Goodyear Duratracs. They're an aggressive tire that does extremely well on and offroad. Im running 275/70/18 with 1.5" wheel spacers and no lift. I don't have any rubbing and still have a decent bit of room for flex.

I wouldn't call Duratracs aggressive. More of an all terrain. But I would call them aggressive for an all terrain...
