Nothing wrong with a Sahara Auto. If you get 33's then it may be a little sluggish. Nothing the Hypertech touner did'nt take of. If you are going 35's then a re-gear should be on the list. I think a 2.5 BB and 33's are great for 90% of your needs. The Sahara package comes with most of the anemities. My gig and side air bags would be an option. Also Dual top is an option.

Good Luck

Maybee I'm missing something... my rubi w/ an auto and 35's and 14000 miles does great. I'm not going to win any races, but pretty happy so far. Guess I better knock on wood that I don't have a major malfuntion.

Your Rubi has 4.10 gears. The newer Sahara and X's have 3.21 or 3.73 at best. Makes a big differance from what I've heard.

How do the manuals do with the bigger tires and 3.21 or 3.73...like the OP I too do not want to deal with regear, but I will be getting a manual.

well if all goes well, i would like to find a rubi that is a decent price but they just aren't going for that low in my area. I found one that i was going to look at but my friends parents bought it before i had a chance to look at it. Its a 2007 Rubi, dual tops, pretty much loaded for 23,000 10,000 miles. I wish i would have seen it earlier.
