Looking for a Philadelphia Mechanic
Looking for Philadelphia area Jeep mechanic recommendations for this issue below. Saw multiple threads on this topic with no resolutions yet.
I have a 2017 JKU and started having the following issues. First, my transmission is not easily shifting when accelerating. If accelerating hard, each shift (1 to 2, 2 to 3, etc) won’t initiate unless I let off the gas. Even when accelerating slowly, it won’t shift unless you let off the gas. Transmission fluid is fine and a tech checked the parameters and they seem fine.
Second issue is the lightning bolt (throttle control error) has started to come on more and more each drive. Started only two weeks ago. Since then it can happen up to three times in a single drive. My current solution is to pull over, restart the engine, and continue on. As it is related to the throttle, I replaced the throttle body and seemed to fix it… until it happens again.
The final issue is as I am decelerating in second gear, as I near the range of 1200 to 800 rpm’s, the transmission downshifts quickly, revving the engine. This is an automatic and when I’m in “manual” shift mode, the display stays in second gear but clearly it is downshifting to first. Again, this is growing in frequency.
So far, I replaced the throttle body and camshaft position sensor (related to P0365). Not sure if they’re related but worth noting.
I haven’t seen anyone fully resolve these issues, but any recommendations would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike
