Default Loud clang/clunk noise from the door frame?

I drive 100% offroad and ever since I bought my jeep I have heard an annoying clunking type of sound coming from the frame in between the front and rear door, where the seatbelt adjustment is. Driving on rough road all the time this noise is always there.

Clunk, bang, clang...

Anyone know what is causing this to happen? The adjustment doesn't seem to be loose or anything.

???

wrap some electrical tape around the door latch see if that helps.

Default Door latch

100% it's the door latch, like he said above wrap some electrical tape but wrap it on the door latch striker (U post attached to the door pillar). There is a service bulletin out from Jeep and the first thing they will do is put some special grease in the latch and on the stiker.....they did that on my buddies Jeep and it worked, but didn't work on my Jeep. The next step if the grease doesn't work is they have replacement door latches which is what the dealer had to do for my Jeep. I have the part numbers for the grease and latches at work , so if no one else chimes in I'll post them when I get to work.

Default Part numbers

4589277AI Front door Latch (left I think)
4589276AI Front door Latch (right I think)

Krytox grease part number 05019060AA

Try to see if they do it under warranty or the service bulletin the parts are expense as shiz. I think the grease is more than the latches.

Hope this helps........

I just read this and laughed out loud. He's not kidding folks, he is about as far away from a dealership as you can get. Check out his remote location on the google maps machine...
