Lowing soft top pointers
to lower. un-velcro the center support above the sounds bar first. then the windows come off (all three). then un-latch the front and un-hook the 'rain gutters' from the door seals. then fold the rear flaps over the top and lower with care. takes some practice. easiest way to put up the top is to stand on the rear bumper and lightly toss the top towards the front and lower it into place. and re-install. that's it. or do what I did in Texas. leave it off for a few months
I am always dropping the soft top without help. I take all of the windows out, then undo the rain channels, door latches and the front latches. Then I open the tailgate and stand on the rear bumper to lower the top while folding it up as nicely as possible. To put it back up I pick everything up from the bumper again and gently throw it all forward. Then I latch it and pull the rear back down. Then it's just a matter of putting everything back together. I'm short so I have to crawl all over the Jeep like a monkey.
