Default Made in China?

How much of our JKs are made in China?

While doing a crawl around under my JK last night looking for any problems I noticed something interesting stamped on the inside of my 18in stock rims: there it was the Chrysler symbol with the word CHINA beside it. So my rims are made in China but what else? Kinda like my nice North Carolina Furniture that is made in China? Why can't "American Made" really mean "American Made" anymore?

Note I did notice that I have a couple wet spots around two of my front dif cover bolts. Anyone else? Bolts are tight so I will keep an eye on them.

My window sticker stated 79% American and Canadian parts. If it takes 5000 parts to make a JK....do the math.....1050 non USA/Canadian parts

we will get a recall for deadly paint or toxic fumes or something from China. Just heard yesterday they are recalling a bunch of SpongBob address and calender books because there are highly unsafe amounts of lead in the paint on the spiral bind part made in china

We wouldn't be the first Jeep to be recalled due to toxic paint! Poor Sarge.

Hey

I'm Chinese!!! No lead in me.... China's got me all mad that they F-ed up real bad and now I look at everything I buy now to see if its made from China. I dont want to drink or eat out of anything made from there for a while.

But I do come out with some good ideas =)

Ok you hit a sore spot with me. I hate finding products made in China. Unfortunately we have made ourselves dependent on it. I personally try to buy American products whenever I have a choice. Sometimes we don't. Sure you pay more for American made products but they hopefully are worth it.
BUY AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS
