Default Malfunction Indicator Light

I have a 2008 six speed with 2675 miles on it and I just noticed the (Malfunction Indicator Light), # 25 on page 213 of the owners manual is on. Does anyone have any expierence with this warning light.

After driving the last month the light has yet to go off. Has anyone had this problem?

disconnect the battery for a period of time. I had to do this when my cap wasnt properly tightened as well. I dont know if I forgot or a gas station attendant did.

I have an intermittant warning light that comes on, I just pull a battery cable when i get home & reattach it in the morning. It resets everything and clears the light for a while.

(before anyone grandstands on thier soapbox and goes all super-nanny about ignoring the light, I'm not. I am waiting on the post office to get the part I ordered to fix it & when it arrives it'll get done, I just hate the damned bright light & warning chime in the meantime)
