Default Manual trans movement question

I just needed to see if it was the normal action. I have a manual and the shifter when under load it jumps around like a woman scorned. I mean it moves a good 2 inches side to side. I know in my old YJ and wifes TJ they seem to move but not this much. Anyone have the same issue? and if you did, how did you get rid of it?

It moves around like any other stick, only way to stop it will be solid engine, tranny and transfer case mounts. I do not reccomend this.

Its normal......... no fix needed. The more miles I get on mine the more it happens. If you research it on here you will see others have committed on it has well.

I was thinking of swapping to poly mounts to help to isolate it, but was afraid it may be noisy..
