Since the ticking noise goes away when you push the clutch pedal in, I agree with Surf City Dan and would bet on a worn clutch throw-out bearing/arm, possibly combined with a broken spring in the clutch/pressure plate assembly. Hard to be more specific with out visual examination. The frequency of the noise does sound as though it occurs at crankshaft speed.

I would tend to agree here. This is my first jeep, but I'm reading quite a bit about noisy throw-out bearings in these guys. I just picked up my '13 JKU Moab edition with a ax speed.
