manual vs auto tranny?

In any case... with my 4.88s and 4:1, I enjoy a plenty deep crawl ratio. I prefer a manual every time PROVIDED you have enough gear reduction to make the threat of stalling whilst going up almost nil.

Manual holds the advantage in power (no torque converter robbing your engine of grunt); manuals don't run hot and require tranny coolers; manuals are better on steep, loose, dangerous descents.

Definitely a valid point. A t case is not a deal breaker for a Jk. But I wouldn't want the manual without the rubi case. I was going to build my own but $21k new for my rubi kept me from doin that lol

Agreed, it wasn't a Jeep but it was 204,000 miles in a Nissan 4x4 Kingcab. Loving my auto tranny Jeep.
