Default Auto's with chips?

I want to get the Rubi with a manual tranny but the wifey can't drive a stick.
What if I got a Rubi with an auto tranny and put in a chip or bulldog system in it to make shifting and what not better. Would the auto be a better choice.

Default Driving automatic manually..

Hi!

So, can you drive an automatic manually? Can you downshift to 1 at lights and stop signs and move up through 2 to drive?

I purchased a Jeep two weeks ago and faced this same question. I chose manual because it I like them and you have more control.

I also got it for hill start and because manual is more flexible with bigger tires and no regearing.

I've had it for 2 weeks and am now in the groove. The clutch point was way higher in the pedal than I was used to and the connection is narrower.

I've had farm trucks manuals, sport car manuals, and sedan autos.

I had my manual 2011 for a week now and finally getting used to 6 gears. I missed driving a manual. I wish my 06LJ was a manual.
