Default Matte Black JK, Vinyl question

Hey all I'm pretty interested in using vinyl on the jeep to cover up some ugly scratches as well as give my Jeep a distinguished look. So I'm thinking about using vinyl material to make some areas matte black
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3y1Wt_AHa0&feature=related such as the hood cowl and hood, and the front grille.

I have some questions though, how do you clean the vinyl? will trees and such still scratch it?

I dig the matte for sure. Is it way cheaper than painting?

I guess so I'm really just interested in it because I get to keep original paint and it looks badass

Does anybody have a guesstimate of how much it might cost to get a full body matte black paint job? I really want to do it...

Do you want a paint Job paint job or a vinyl wrapping? My friend told me around 3000 for the whole thing if I wanted to paint it.

When you think about it, how much is there to paint on a JK? especially a Sport model with black fender flares. $3,000 is a lot to paint a JK, especially a 2 door. If you have a area to paint, buy a compressor and a spray kit and the paint of your choice, so easy to do, You can really go all out, with different paint schemes if need be, that is if you have the time and the place to do it...lol

Wal-Mart has a complete spray paint kit for $80 , minus the compressor, most of the DIY folks on here already have a compressor suitable for air spray kits.
