Default mid-width in Jersey?

Does anybody know if its legal to ride a mid-width in jersey or does it have to be full wifth?

Look up your state safety laws... might take a bit of digging, but it's gotta be there...

I believe I saw somewhere on this fourm that bumpers must be full width in order to pass NJ inspection.

And I thought NY laws sucked.. here they just need to protect the lights... so stubbys are good.

although you do have the Pine Barrens... thats the closest place to me to legally wheel....... Obviously I cant go as often as id like to. just b happy your not in MA with their lifting laws...

IMO call your local state police office and talked to them they will know or can look it up for you. I know atleast in VA a trooper is on duty at the police station for the inspection stations in their run area. It might be faster than looking it up.

There are still speed & custom shops in the Newark area that will perform a NJ inspection if you have made modifications to your vehicle. I take my BMW to local tuner's shop since i have dark tinted windows & I took my old lifted & heavily modified CJ's to a similar shop over the years. Drop it off, come back 4 hrs later and you've got a sticker. Last time my Beemer cost $100. No problems.
have 35's, lift, and a mid-width bumper. Never was stopped by a cop for any modifications while driving any of my CJ's 15+ years in NJ.
