Not a dumb question at all. The new JK Wrangler is a heck of a lot easier to get in and out of compared to the older TJ, YJ or even CJ. This is due to the fact that the new JK has a level door entry as opposed to a 6" rocker that you have to step over to get in. The only dumb thing that I've noticed is that I keep kicking the map pockets on the side of the door when getting out.

thanks, i thought all the pictures i saw of them looked like the door was lower then the other jeeps. that's great, i probably won't be needing steps then for awhile until i decide to go bigger (when i get my jeep).

thanks, wayoflife.

I have a Sahara and it comes with side steps.for me the side steps get in the way of get in and out. but my wife use them know that she has figured out to put her right foot up first the step in with the left(she rides shotgun)the will be revised for the driver.

to me the doors, especially the rear do not open far enough. i added a strap to allow the doors to open to fully. helps the dogs jump in! also had the plastic steps Rhino coated to get rid of slipping for the pups...

My wife has MS and for a several years I didn't have a Jeep because it was more difficult for her to get in and out of. Then DCX came along with the JK and I am now a Jeep owner again.
