Hi
I replaced my 3.6 with a remanufactured long block, I’ve replaced the plugs as well and oil cooler. I’ve got misfires on #2 and # 5 I tried moving the ignition coils and it made no difference. Should I assume it’s the fuel injectors?
So I checked resistance on the fuel injectors and it was 9.9 to 10.3ohms, I swapped the two misfiring cylinders with other injectors and the misfiring on 2 &5 remain.
any next ideas?
im getting tired of throwing money at the light.
Have you done simple compression test? It is typically right here that I cus about that damn intake covering up the driver's side bank and making what should be a 5 minute task take longer. I think at the very least though do quick compression test on cylinders 1/3/5 due to such easy access so you can compare if 5 is reading off.
Here are snapshots of pages from the service manual regarding P0300 (multiple misfires) -
