Default missing a piece of my freedom panel

I have an unlimited with a hard top. I removed the freedom panels for the weekend and placed them back to find a missing piece. Its the rubbery piece that attaches to the from clamps on the freedom panels.

In missing the rubbery piece on the driver's side freedom panel and would like to know if any of you know where I can get a replacement? Right now its metal to metal and don't want to possibly mess anything up minor or grand.

Thanks ahead of time,
Neil

Default I used black, thick foam weather stripping

I used black, thick, foam weather stripping, and super glue. Worked great until I cracked both freedom panels by overtightening the hand screws...(that's a whole other story) then I got them replaced by dealer.

I do notice my new panels have a more form fitting, or custom rubber piece there. My original panels (Jan 07) just had some padding glued on there.

I'll be at the dealer today to replace a cracked tail light... I'll ask the parts guy about that rubber piece. Of course, at the dealer it will cost a fortune.

If you HAVE that piece and it's bad about coming off, the ABSOLUTE best thing to use to glue it back on with is 3M Yellow Weatherstrip Adhesive. That stuff will glue the beegeezus outta anything. I've always called it rhinocerous snot.

I called my dealer's parts department and I tried my best to explain this rubbery piece that is part of the front latch of the hard tops.

I'm assuming the guy and I were on the same page and if so then from the dealer it'll cost me $44 bucks. The guy at parts told me they wouldn't sell small parts such as that and I would end up having to purchase a whole new latch.

I'm going to confirm later today if I have time to drive by the dealer. If the price is what he said I'm going to have to make/find some alternative. I know its a small thing to worry about, but I'd rather have it then not.

If you mean the little rubber bumper on the clamp yes you can get it replaced. The dealership lost ond of mine and the parts guy and I went through the blow up of the roof (it was my soft top same rubber thingy) and found it. replaced free of charge. But I think to buy it is was like $3 CAN....
