Missing Soft Top Torx Screw
That parts person was a dope, if she took your vin number plugged into computer she could have printed out the parts list for the soft top with diagram and bamn find it that easy lol.....
glad your 2nd dealer knew what they were doing
edit: I forgot to ask, was it the bolts for the bracket to the rollbar or the bows to that bracker?

It was the bolts from the rollbar to the bracket.
Yeah, the lady is not all that good. I like the 2nd guy MUCH better!
I noticed over the weekend that I'm missing one of my torx head screws for the soft top. I went to one of the Jeep dealers I deal with and she couldn't find a replacment part for it. I'm going to go to a more trusted and knowledgeable dealer tonight and ask, but would anyone know a better way to get these screws? I also went to Home Depot and bought a screw I thought would work, but it didn't.
HELP!
HELP!
We lost on of our torx shoulder bolts, and she tried to tell us it didn't come from the factory w/ one

We got the run around for one lousy little bolt, we still don't have it. they gave us one for the plastic door surrounds, after they sent the original back cause we did not want to keep coming in for stupid trips.
They should have just handed it to us, but they told us it has to be installed.
That girl is useless, I have to continue to deal w/ them because we are out of warranty now and I brought it in for the soft warpage, and I am waiting for them to get me a new one.

I bought them, but they do not work on the JK. I know they are advertised for the JK, but they don't work on it, even though you can screw them in, you can't put the top up. They are fine for the TJ Wrangler, but on the JK, the soft top bars are too close together where they attatch to the roll bar. The knob area of theses screws are too large, and the bars too close together. The bars push against the screws, and it won't go up properly.
Some advice when removing the hard top... Something my brother learned the hard way (he drives a 1005 TJ).
When you remove the hold-down screws when taking off the hard top, place nylon or plastic washers over the threads of each screw and run them back in, tightening them only moderately. The nylon washers will not mar your paint.
This will assure you that you will not have to search for or replace lost screws when you reinstall the hardtop later.
My regards,
Widewing
