Default Mopar half doors & factory hard top

Has anyone out there tried this particular combination??

I am fed up with the full doors and will probably get the half door kit from Jeepsrus but would like to retain the hard top.
Thanks

why are you feed up with the full doors? I'm on the fence about a jeep because it has half doors.

The half doors are a much sought after item that many long time owners prefer. Let this be the little push you need to fall off the buying side ..I'd love to have half doors on mine

I know Jeep wont let you buy the half doors with a hard top, but I dont see how that combo wouldnt work.. if the steel doors work on a hardtop or softtop, how couldnt the half doors?

good luck with you rcostly decision. those half door kits are a lot of $

I have both tops, full doors, and I am curious about this as well.
Why wouldn't half doors work with hard top?

They do work. It just looks funny. Half doors with fiberglass uppers/sliders is the way to go. Those aren't out yet for the JK though. When they come out you will see lots of half door hard top Jeeps. like you see TJ, YJ, CJ ones.

x2, I saw half doors on a herd top somewhere except it was a 2 door. And I may be mistaken but I think it was a new JK that was just purchased, maybe an 09, and it came that way. I could be wrong though.

Maybe someone will chime in with that setup because I know it is possible
