It's somethin on #6 garanteed. Whether it's a rod bearing, wristpin, cracked piston or broken ring. One of the above is what you have. I've even seen broken rod bolts on new stuff. All kinda stupid stuff.

Leakdown was less than 1% and compression was even at 120 (i think) 5500 elevation here... so ring or cracked piston is out.

A piston can be cracked on the skirt (which is where they usually do) and it will not affect compression. The story they are giving me on mine is "piston slap".

Well the Chrysler rep finally took a listen today... Still no answers though They want it for ANOTHER 4 day stretch. to run more tests? I'm getting the same BS runaround Redneckjeep is it seems, unless the computer tells them what's wrong, they just shrug and say I dunno...

Piston slap? Does it go away after warm up?

It's unfortunate that many techs now depend entirely on the computer on their desk instead of the 15 lb one attached to their neck. Kudos to you for finding the problem cylinder.
