Mud cleanout & infiltration
Hi,
I occasionally do a little mud terrain, nothing extreme since X is stock except for 265/70R17 destination M/Ts.
Last weekend I adventured in hole dedicated to a competition the next day. No worry there was a dozer to pull me out.
So after going thru the bog hole at 4-lo 2nd gear high revved, I decide to look under the hood for any slight mud infiltration. Well, Chunks of mud everywhere even sitting right on top of the block.
So after spending this morning taking out the Rockhard tranny and transfer case skids out cleaning and installing them again; I wonder...
What is involved in stripping down a few pieces of the body to actually get to the last bit of mud?

Mud adds character. The more you off-road, the more you will acquire. I don't think that there is a way to get ALL of the mud out. Most of it will come out with patience and a lot of water hose work.
