Muffler rusted stuck.. need help
I'm in the process of replacing my muffler and I can not for the life of me get the rust to let go at the joint behind the intermediate pipe. I'm not a mechanic but this I would think should have been a snap. Suggestions? Thanks.
(EDIT: I got it off... thanks all!)

I had to fight with mine recently. I used a lot of Wd-40 at the junction, and just twisted and pulled for about 20 minutes. Movement started off real small, but the muffler very slowly started to work off the mid-pipe. I think I had to give the muffler some encouragement with a 3lb hammer at one point. There was so much friction the joint actually got pretty warm.
