My '12 needs...... A new engine??!!
This. Hopefully you didn' finance the jeep. never ever take out a loan on a car with this type of milesge. You can get upside down in a heartbeat. Very fortunate to have the repair done under warranty.
So after a month of waiting, I got my truck back last Thursday. The receipt showed both the engine and clutch were replaced, and I can see new components from underneath. I left feeling so happy that the fix was done and the wait was worth it!
I drove it to work Fri, no problems. On the way home Fri night, the CEL comes on!!! P0301, engine misfire, cyl 1. Called the dealer absolutely livid, waiting for a call back. How is this even possible????!!

I’m following your story as my interest is piqued how the dealership is gonna deal with you.
As generic as it sounds - my faith in the ‘auto techs’ at the dealers is almost non-existent. Waaaay to many of these techs plug in and diagnose simply on what their computer tells them - and if your vehicle is unfortunate to have an on again / off sensor, or worse, a faulty wire - you’re hooped.
A year ago my daily driver had the CEL come on out of the blue - since then the dealership has gone into the hole over 9k replacing sensors, catalytic converters, and wiring - finally the service manager said, either learn to ignore the dashboard light, or he had arranged a generous trade-in allowance with their sale department !
They had clearly given up and had no idea ....
The only reason I ever return to the dealership is warranty work, and due to the extent of the mods in my new Jeep - the service dept will never touch my ride again.
As someone else mentioned - you, my friend should buy lottery tickets !
Good luck and post the developments.

So here's the latest: as of Tuesday, the dealer hadn't called me back, so I had to make an appt. with my local, RELIABLE, mechanic. He pulled the plug from cylinder 1, and held it aside for me to see later in the day. It looked like it came out of a '62 Corvair!! Completely oxidized and corroded, definitely not a plug that had only been run 100 miles. Looks like the dealer cheaped out and installed old plugs. The mechanic replaced all of the plugs, as well as some gaskets, cleared the code, and did a test run. All seems OK for now. If/when the dealer DOES call me back, I will be sure to tell them I just paid $400 more on a repair that THEY should have done, and I'd like to know how much they will be reimbursing me (doubt they will but..)
