So I looked around some other sites. They confirm there is no auto-adjust lever in the JK E-brake setup. Its just like adjusting drum brakes before auto-adjusters. Kind of a drag because auto-adjusting drum brakes are proven, available, simple and usually effective.

I pull the e-brake up about half-way, then move slowly in reverse until a click is heard in the rear, then release the brake, and repeat. Previous to this I could pull the e-brake up to the top. However after, I can only pull it up about 3/4, with no Jeep movement when parked on an incline.

There is a chance the 2007 has adjusters. It would be nice to see a picture of the setup. Maybe the parts could be installed on the later models.
I do know the 2008 and later models have no self-adjuster parts on them.

On my 2007 JKU Rubicon 6sp this absolutely works. Quickly pull up and release your e-brake about 5 times in a row. You will feel the emergency brake tighten up. My handle now does not come up as high and it stops my jeep from rolling on my driveway that has a slight incline. Before I did this my e-brake was crap and could not hold the jeep. This adjustment shouldn't take longer than five seconds..

My e brake did the same thing. I thought it was because of me abusing it to get a laugh out of my friends when I first got it. Hmmm..

I took mine to the dealer yesterday to have the parking brake adjusted. It's a 2012 and still under warranty. I had tried to adjust it myself but wasn't successful and didn't want to mess something up. The tech said that he looked it up in his system and said that the 2012 does have adjuster parts. I did the adjustment by pulling it up several times in a row and it does seem to be holding better. Before it wouldn't hold of for anything.

My 10 has the same problem. If you repeatedly pull on it, the crappy ratchet mechanism will re-adjust and usually about the 5th pull it's tight. It also seems to help if you have your foot on the brake while doing this. It just sucks that is has to be done EVERY time I use the E brake, which is every time I park my 6 speed. A few squirts of brake cleaner into the mechanism on occasion seems to help also.

I finally got tired of the constant adjustment AND the fact mine was starting to pop/slip when pulling telling me it was going to fail soon, so I took it to the dealer yesterday (33,600 miles) to have them fix it before the warranty expires.

They just called to tell me it's ready and replaced both the lever and ratchet assembly under warranty since they were failing. We'll see how many miles I get from this one, but I expect I'll be replacing it myself in another 20k or so. The E brake design at the lever is crap. They also found a small leak at the rear axle seal that wasn't there a few weeks ago when I checked all my seals and replaced it too, so good on the dealer.
