Need Help, Death Wobble And Dealer Solution
hey there, I have been having the infamous wobble after hitting bumps for quite a few months now. my dealership has looked at my jeep without a solution for quite some time. my dealership now states that it is the tires that are the problem and that i will need to buy new tires or call goodyear customer service and sort it out with them, i drive a stock 2007 wrangler unlimited x wuth goodyear wrangler sra 255/75/17 tires....this doesnt seem like a logical solution due to chrysler selling me the jeep with the socalled bad tires...shouldnt chrysler fix this problem...
has anyone else had this as a solution..and what are your thoughts....
let me know
thanks

Is there a pamphlet inside the owners manual pouch you got with your Jeep? Usually, there is something in there about the tire warranty. I would think the dealer should replace the tire if it is defective since they proably have a supply of them, and they could exchange the defective tire for a good one from Good Year. That is assuming that the tires on your JK are stock. It may not be a tire problem, though. I would take it to another dealer to have them look at it. Maybe mention that you would hate to be in their shoes if you had an accident because they could not figure out what was wrong and you lost control. Good luck.

they are indeed stock tires from the factory and the dealership is claiming that they are the problem and that its up to me to solve it. this doesnt sit well with me when they sold me the vehicle with these tires and its a safety issue....what if i spend the $1200 plus to get a good set of tires and it isnt the problem...my jeep has been doing the wobble for months with then no knowing what it is...and i get no compensation for that...its not reliable and this doesnt seem right.....
ok, i had this prob. from the dealer where i bought it from my steering stablizer shock was put on wrong and i had blown that out, i bought a after maket one at napa put it on the same way blew that one out, the one on my dad's jeep (07 wrangler x) blew out, his was on the same way mine was on from the dealer, well i took it in cause the of wobble and it turned out my front axle was off 1/2" front passanger side shock wasnt tightend all the way down,(had a bb on there had taken it off few days prior to taking it in), i had my tires rotated and balanced 3 times within a 2 week per, and i had 2 alighments done. nothing worked until the dealer fixed the schock he said "it was put on backwards." and did that other stuff then everything went away,
i went to the dealer today and stoped and looked at a few of the wranglers and they were put on the way mines put on now.
the piston should be facing the drivers tire(sliver part)
not the passanger tire.
