Default NEED HELP!! Diagnostic Code P0480

Hit some deep water crossings yesterday and some deep mud holes and on the drive home the engine light came on and its throwing a code for P0480 which is a cooling fan issue. Is there a simple fix for this? Seems to be overheating quick.

I'm assuming the fan is not turning on. Check for any blown fuses and see if the relay is working. It could be as simple as that or the fan maybe fried.

Most likely got dirty water in the fan motor, try spinning it by hand, next wash out your radiator and fan with clean water

Fuse was blown. Going to clean the fan and throw a new fuse in. Hoping that's the fix. Thanks so much!

if you are in deep enough water and the jeep gets hot (or A/C is on), the fan will try to spin but may get logged by water and over-current's.. it often blows the fuse in this case.. id recommend making sure your HVAC is not set to any position that might run the A/C..

in waterthat deep the water itself will likely keep the radiator itself cool enough the fan wont try to run..

ive also seen these motors get trashed by water or if debris builds up in the bottom of the shroud..

Was able to clean the fan out and replace the fuse. After an hour of driving and then having it sit 3 hours and started the engine, the light was off. Under my hood was trashed. The worst it's ever been. I feel like I need a leaf blower or something to blow out the debris. Cleaned the motor and whatnot and it still looks like hell

Got home and the fan was running but sounds loud.
