Default Need help FAST...very strange power window problem

Ok so i did a search and didnt find anything that helped. Ill try to explain the best i can. I have been having a problem lately with both front windows in my 08 sahara. basically if i put the driver window down and then try to put it back up the passenger window will go down. once the passnger window is all the way down the drivers window will then go up thus not allowing me to put both windows up at the same time. and vice versa. in the past if one window was already down i would put the other down and then through a long series of pushing both switches up and down several times they would eventually go back up. I disconnected the passenger side wireharness to see if the driver window would work independently and it would not go back up. and now the windows will not go back up at all. the rear windows work fine. i also pulled the switch out and could not see any corrosion or any obvious signs for why it wouldnt work figured i would get some advice before spending 80 bux on a new switch

You are on the right track that it probably is the switch.

Are you out of warranty?

I was thinking this is a computer/communications problem.
But, looking at the wiring diagram, it looks like the switch module is wired directly to the motors.

Just in case it is something to do with the computers, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. See if that makes a difference.

There is probably something going on inside the switch module, though.

Part number for the 5 gang switch module: 04602756AB $77.50
Verify the part number with the dealer. Sometimes they change.

I only have a 2-Door so forgive me if this is incorrect. At the switch can you disconnect the front and rear and swap them there? If problem moves to the rear windows using the front (Upper) switch you can confirm the switch is bad before spending money.

I believe the connectors are different.
