Default Need Help with floor board thump

I'm not sure what this exactly is. Only happens when the JK is cold. Temperature is approx 15-20 outside. I usually let the JK warm up about 5 minutes before I take off. I feel a thump on the driver's side floor board. I have already done the intermediate shaft fix, so it isn't that. It's noticeable for about 5 miles down the road and then seems to disappear, as the JK gets warmed up completely. I'm at a loss as what this could be. I have approx 3500 miles. Any thoughts would be great!

I'd say neighbor's cat, but they rarely hold on for 5 miles...

my tires get flat spots in cold weather that take a mile or so to warm up and go away.

is this a constant rythmic thump?

if it is once or twice it might be from muffler heat?

guess i need more info..

It's not a consistent thump. Not tire flat spot either....feels like it has to do with the steering. I feel nothing through the steering wheel, but just the floorboard. It's not speed related either. I'm usually pretty good at figuring these weird things out, but it's got me stumped.
Is there anything that could loosen up underneath? Anything known for doing this. I'm thinking maybe something inside the engine compartment, that is traveling down so I feel it in the floorboard. I noticed that my overflow bottle for the coolant is somewhat loose, but they all seem that way.

only thing that comes to mind is the collar on the steering where it goes through the firewall, but i would think you could feel that in the steering wheel. ???

Maybe someone else can recall something else?

You think it might be the sheetmetal warming up and oilcanning?

that might be possible....maybe I'll crawl under her tomorrow.....just cold in the garage, but once I get the heat going it should be doable.

But do you feel it in the floor boards or do you just hear it?
